Le Vuong, a 28-year-old Patient from Vietnam was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy when he was 15 years old after noticing that he had relatively lesser strength than his friends at school. Together with his wife, they found Regenerative Treatment from the hospital where his wife delivered the baby.
What can you tell us about the previous treatment he received?
He received different treatments in Vietnam. He took Herbal medicine, Acupuncture and Physiotherapy, but he did not get any results. Sometimes the disease stopped at a level and sometimes it got even worse.

What do you think of the facilities and staff?
The facilities here are very good and modern. The staff takes care of him very well. They are nice and very enthusiastic. He feels like the hospital is home to him.
Who inspires you during the difficult times?
His father always motivates him and helps him to enjoy other activities like PT. When he’s unable to do something, his father helps him. I came here with my father and he helps me to step up the stairs and go get up or down the car because I’m too weak to do those movements by myself.
What message would you like to share with those considering Regenerative Treatment?
I think it was a right decision to come here for the treatment. One word to describe this treatment is “special” because it gave him good results when compared to other treatments and he saw improvements in his health and felt good about the treatment.
My message to those people who are considering Regenerative Treatment is to keep up the motivation and try hard to get an opportunity to have a better health for themselves.
As I know my disease will get worse day by day, making me weaker and ending up in wheelchair. After the treatment, I hope that I will not get that future and instead will improve my strength so that I don’t find difficulty in doing daily activities and moving around easily without any help.
