During the fourth weekend of April 2016, representatives of Unique Access traveled to Tampa, Florida, to take part in the first Push National Festival, an event designed to celebrate the people, products and technology that are improving the future landscape of the paralysis community.
Treatment Ambassador Andrew Bell and Patient Representative Iker Elua were determined to increase awareness of epidural stimulation
The treatment that Andrew himself recently received in Bangkok, and an event solely dedicated to the paralysis community presented the ideal opportunity in which to do this. Epidural stimulation is the most innovate spinal cord injury (SCI) treatment available. The device used in the treatment can allow spinal cord injury patients to recover voluntary movements through an electrical stimulation process.
The event was a fantastic way to allow those who may suffer in some way with paralysis to come together and get involved in many different activities and also help support one another

Andrew gave a main-stage presentation at the event, describing his journey of recovery since his accident and also sharing his personal experience of the Epidural Stimulation procedure.
Personally it was extremely humbling to be able to share my journey with so many people and to demonstrate how the epidural stimulation treatment I received courtesy of Unique Access has not only changed my life, but has the potential to help change the lives of many more people. If my story reaches out to just one person who took the time to listen, then that would make the experience more than worth it.

Andrew and I were given the honor of representing Unique Access Medical, and thus its exclusive treatments and partner hospitals, at the first Push Nation Fest held in April 2016 in Florida. As part of a team of great professionals, Andrew and I went to Florida determined to share his unique and inspiring story with all those that suffer from SCI.
During our time in Florida, we had the opportunity to talk with many great individuals, from motivational speakers, to war veterans, from dog trainers to body builders, all of whom were interested in knowing what we did and how the ES device can help them change their lives for the better. It was inspiring to say the least!
An event such as this one, gave us the chance to spread awareness of the Epidural Stimulation Procedure among all those who attended the convention. It was great to see the curiosity in the faces of all those who were mesmerized by Andrew’s story.
