Meet Landon, a 16-year-old from Washington, USA 🇺🇸 who recently began his journey with us in Bangkok 🇹🇭. Landon sustained a Cauda Equina Syndrome injury at the L3 level in …a motocross accident earlier this year, which has left him with limited movement below the knees. On his left side, he retains some patchy sensation and partial muscle activation in his hip flexors, quads, and glutes, though the right side remains weaker and has no sensation from the waist down.
Currently, Landon can stand and walk with a walker while using AFOs (Ankle-Foot Orthosis) for support. He has use of his bladder and bowels, though they require strain, and he has no sexual function. His goal with stem cell treatment is to strengthen the damaged nerve pathways, helping him regain more control and strength.
Motocross is a huge part of Landon’s life, and he was training to race in an amateur league before his accident. Remarkably, he’s personally connected to one of our other patients, Tanner, a T5 SCI patient in Mexico 🇲🇽, as they both share a passion for motorbike racing.

#PatientProgress for Garrett, C5-C6 incomplete quadriplegia and complete paraplegia
Patient progress update for Garrett, 21, from the USA 🇺🇸. After a diving accident left him with a C5-C6 incomplete quadriplegia and complete paraplegia in September 2023, Garrett came to …our Mexico 🇲🇽 facility to regain function and independence, hoping for movement in his fingers and more overall control.
Since having two epidural stimulators surgical implanted and stem cell treatment, Garrett has seen significant progress. He now shows voluntary movement in his shoulders, biceps, triceps, wrists, and hands—a huge step, as he had no hand movement before. By the end of treatment, small movements in his fingers became visible, showing great promise for continued recovery.
In addition, Garrett has regained function in his lower limbs, with movements in his hip flexors, quadriceps, and other lower leg muscles. He can fully kick his legs and even partially bear weight while standing. His improved trunk control has given him better stability both sitting and standing, making a difference in his daily life. He’s also gained better blood pressure control, adding to his comfort and overall progress.

Patient progress update for Tylan, T6 complete SCI from South Africa …
Patient progress update for Tylan, T6 complete SCI from South Africa 🇿🇦. Tylan has been with us in Bangkok 🇹🇭 for five and a half weeks, showing remarkable improvements after …Epidural Stimulation surgery, LamiSpine treatment, and 140 hours of physical therapy.
Tylan has regained voluntary movement in his hip flexors, extensors, abductors, and adductors—even with his stimulator off. This improved muscle control is helping with everyday actions like pushing, lifting, and moving his legs independently. Previously, he relied on a slide board to transfer, needing full arm support; now, he can transfer independently, and with the stimulator on, transitions are even easier.
His trunk control has improved significantly, allowing him to balance while moving in different directions with minimal support. Tylan has also advanced in his mobility goals—he can now walk independently with a Pacer, lock his knees, kick his legs, and push himself forward. With the support of a walking brace and parallel bars, he’s also able to step forward, and he can rise from sitting to standing with minimal assistance.
A personal goal for Tylan was to crawl independently, and with dedication, he’s now able to crawl with only light hip support from his therapist.
